"The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." - What the devil meant for evil God will turn around for your good!

Haha! BAM!! How ya like me now?

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. (Genesis 50:20 NIV)

This is how Joseph must have felt when his own brothers tried to do him in...his very own family! They lied on him and they lied to him. They threw him in a pit and they sold him into slavery. Potiphar's wife hurled false accusations and the cupbearer forgot about him.

Jesus cancels the work and activities of the devil. Jesus staight X's out the devil’s mess!

As He (Jesus) went along, He saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”   “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. (John 9:1‭-‬3 NIV)

Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed Him, for they were all expecting Him. Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with Him to come to his house because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying....Someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”  Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”   When He arrived at the house of Jairus, He did not let anyone go in with Him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.” He took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!”  Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. Her parents were astonished, but He ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened. (Luke 8:40‭-‬42‭, ‬49‭-‬52‭, ‬54‭-‬56 NIV)

As He approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, His heart went out to her and He said, “Don’t cry.”   Then He went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”  The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. (Luke 7:12‭-‬15 NIV)

So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”  When He heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” (John 11:3‭-‬4 NIV)

Do you trust Him enough to wait faithfully for Him to bring you out? Do you believe that He can make a good thing out of a bad situation? You can trust Him because, as Joseph, the man born blind, Jairus, the widow and Martha/Mary & Lazarus learned that God can and does overrule and override the schemes and plots of our enemy, Satan. Trust that God in Chist Jesus has already defeated evil and He will have His intended results in the lives who are surrendered to Him!

Talk about me, lie on me, laugh at me and even shun me...it's alright! What you meant for evil, watch God turn it around!

Haha! BAM!! How ya like me now?
