JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Evidence of a Changed Heart

My strength is in the Holy Spirit. My aim is God's glory. The goal is to proclaim the truth of the Bible for the transformation of my brothers and sisters held captive by Satan so that they also will have Evidence of a Changed Heart!

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - "And I have ALSO given you what you have not asked"

Hallelujah! I get excited and over-the-top thrilled when God not only answers our prayers but goes way beyond what we even requested. You see, Solomon asked for Wisdom...not out of selfish ambitions, but so that he may lead God’s people according to how God would have him to lead.

When our prayers and supplications align with God's purpose, then not only will He answer our prayers, but He will bless us beyond anything that we requested.

Try Him for yourself!

I dare you to ask God to be a better father and husband in your family.

I dare you to ask God to bless you with not only a job, but a profession so that you can support and mentor at risk youth and to help the less fortunate in your community.

I dare someone to ask God to Save them from addiction, illegal and illicit activities...because I'm confident that in no time they will be sharing their testimony of where God has taken them from and that this same God can deliver someone else if they would only ask.

God wants to place an "ALSO" in response to our prayers. What would you ask of Him today?

Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. AND I HAVE ALSO given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” (1 Kings 3:11-14 NKJV)

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Wisdom

The time when we come to a place in our relationship, understanding and wisdom in The Lord where we cease from asking for stuff and things. The time when we take our eyes off of self and begin to see those that God has entrusted us with. The time when we truly appreciate our Calling and purpose in this life.

This is when our prayer life changes and we seek God for the strategy, guidance and discernment to help those who we are to minister/serve. Today, we pray and ask God for His Divine Agenda.

"Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” (1 Kings 3:9 NKJV)

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Power Under Control

When I was Saved by Jesus Christ, I didn't become soft or someone who you could walk on or mistreat. When I became a Christian, I didn't become quiet and introverted. When The Holy Ghost got a hold of me and now resides in me, I became someone that evil people with evil intentions had to be concerned about.

You see, when I open my mouth and speak The Word of The Lord, demons tremble, things begin to change, situations get fixed, people feel better, relationships are mended and hope is restored!

Just because I rather love, forgive and pray doesn't mean I'm weak. What it does mean is that I'm operating in "Power Under Control".

You better recognize who you are dealing with because God didn't create and redeem wimps. God created us in His image and in His likeness! Now that I'm Saved and have been sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, you ought to be careful of how you try to handle me. You see, I am a child of The Most High God and in Him, I have been given power and authority and I am Called to use both!

Same for all of God's people...you have power! So, get out from behind closed doors. Get active in your community. Be the visible, walking, breathing, living and vibrant church who will take a stand against injustices and every detestable and evil work of the enemy.

Together we can make a difference both through prayer, faith and then putting that faith into action.

God's Word confirms all of this and more. Check it out for yourself and know who you are in Christ Jesus!

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NKJV)

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - "All Aboard"...NOT!!!

"One day long ago, God ’s Word came to Jonah, Amittai’s son: “Up on your feet and on your way to the big city of Nineveh! Preach to them. They’re in a bad way and I can’t ignore it any longer.” But Jonah got up and went the other direction to Tarshish, running away from God . He went down to the port of Joppa and found a ship headed for Tarshish. He paid the fare and went on board, joining those going to Tarshish—as far away from God as he could get." (Jonah 1:1-3 The Message)

God wanted to use Jonah in a great way. God wanted Jonah to preach to a people who have become corrupt. God also wants to use YOU and I in a great way to preach, reach and teach to those around us who are living their lives contrary to how God would have them to live it...again, our communities have become corrupt.

It's interesting how this works. Whenever you want to backslide, turn away, or sail in the opposite direction, guess who is in the port or at the docks, with a ship all ready to go? Satan. He's already got the ship in port, the engines revved up and the sails setup! Right now, Satan has a ship waiting for you if you want to jump on-board. But the problem is, like Jonah, you'll pay for it!

No longer give Satan the opportunity to pull into your Port to lead you away from God's calling on your life. Reject jumping on-board any mode of travel that will have you in opposition to your destiny with Christ Jesus. The Devil would make it easy for you to not follow your calling because he knows that if he can pull you away, take you from it or have you to set sail in an opposite direction, that he will continue to further corrupt our loved ones, neighbors and communities.

I declare that the itinerary of the enemy has been cancelled...I will be one who will not board any vessel that leads me away from what God requires of me!

I'll see you in the church as you won't find me on the docks! Hallelujah and Amen!

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Worshipping with Dad!

My Dad and Mom came to visit from Delaware this past weekend. Here is Dad attending Bible Study with my brother Ken and I.

There's so much that I could say about this, but I will say with a very happy heart, that BLESSED is what I call this. BLESSED to sit in the presence of a Mighty God to share in His Word of Truth with both my Brother and my Dad!

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - What are We REALLY Like?

How goes it with our family? Do we sing in the choir on Sunday and sin behind closed doors when we get home? Are we saints in front of some people and nothing but devils  at home? Shame on us!

What we are at home is what counts! We cannot be a true saint whose home is a scene of bitterness, strife, confusion, lies, contention and utter FAKENESS...nor can we be a faithful minister whose own family dreads our appearance at the dinner table.

What are we REALLY like?

If this Post bothers us, then good! This is way overdue. We need to make up in our minds, heart and spirit that we will be servants of The Most High God, both in the Sanctuary and in our Living Rooms; we will be Faithful both in the Pew and at our desks at work; God will be exalted from the Pulpit and by our fireplaces!

As for me, I'm a work in progress. I don't get this right 100% of every minute of every day. I'm thinking that none of us do, that's why God's Word speaks of this. However, I must be intentional to not be a "Part Time Christian". Today, I must secure my integrity. Today, I'm asking God for His help to rid FAKENESS from my walk with Him.

Today, I'm making a declaration..."I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart." (Psalms 101:2c NASB)

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Forgiveness Even for Fools

Now before you jump all over me, see and hear who The Lord considers to be a Fool. It is the one who CONTINUES in their transgressions.

In comparison, a Fool is like a Alcoholic or Drug Addict. Although the truth about alcohol and drugs are well known, the Addict CONTINUES to take these toxins into their bodies. Eventually, their bodies become afflicted. Their cognitive thought ability is greatly depleted,  which leads them to even more bad decisions. Then their dreams and desires fade away as their only goal is to achieve another level of "highness". Lastly, they withdrawal and shutdown...sick, diseased and no self-esteem.

To put it simply...Fools act foolishly in committing foolishness!

There are numerous types of foolishness. I shared only one example. We are all guilty of foolishness in one way or the other (self examination time). Yes, I also fall in a category of being a Fool when I continue to do things that God has clearly forbidden for me to do.

BUT GOD FORGIVES! In Psalms 107:20 we are told that, "God sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Not only will God forgive us of all of our foolishness, but He will also heal our ravished and sick bodies; He will heal our hurts and issues; and He will heal our sin-sick soul. He doesn’t stop there...you see, when we call on Him, He'll do all of that AND He will rescue us from the grips of our enemy; He will destroy the strongholds that have been placed on you; and He will deliver you from the gates of Hell and He will place you in Heaven to be with Him in glory.

From one Fool to another, please read just a bit more. Hey it's not too much, but it is JUST ENOUGH for The Journey!

"Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord  for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing." (Psalms 107:17-20 NKJV)

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - The "GIFT" of a Handicap

What are you struggling with? What is it that you cannot do without a great deal of help? What are your limitations? Have you ever stopped to think that some impediments are there for a reason? Hear what the Apostle Paul has to say about his limitations, his struggles and the difficulties that he needed help to remove...yes, this was his Handicap that he tried to pray away...BUT God changed his perception from Handicap to "GIFT".

"If I had a mind to brag a little, I could probably do it without looking ridiculous, and I’d still be speaking plain truth all the way. But I’ll spare you. I don’t want anyone imagining me as anything other than the fool you’d encounter if you saw me on the street or heard me talk. Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become." (2 Corinthians 12:6-9 The Message)

Today, may God change our perceptions of our own limitations from hadicaps to GIFTS.

JUST ENOUGH for The Journey - Take Some Time to Rest

Jesus knows the importance of rest. Hear what He says to His Disciples and to us who are ministering today:

“Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31a NKJV)

Well, my friends and family, I'm going to do just that...I'm going to take a much needed vacation and rest for a while. I will be off of Social Media, so prayers for you all and please say a prayer for safe travel and relaxation during my family vacation.

Thanks in advance. 🌴🌞🏄⛳🏊
