Love and Happiness - Part I

My Pastor has begun an "Occasional" teaching series on "Love and Happiness" in both marriage and relationships. In response, I will dedicate my daily devotional to this teaching for this week.

Monday's Meditation: "Love and Happiness"

Question #1: When is the last time that you went to bed recounting how wonderful, how supportive and how helpful your spouse has been to you just in that day?

Far to often, we rather focus on the few things that didn't get done the way that we would have liked them to get done... yea, it got done, but we are all tripped out about how it got done!

Question #2: When is the last time that you called your spouse to you, embraced, and looked them in the eye and told them all that is right about them, reminded them that they are your first and only choice in this world and confirmed with a kiss that they are loved and appreciated?

Today, "Go All Out in Your Love", think about that special person in your life and don't focus on the few things that you don't like, but instead uplift, embrace and encourage the positives... the positives, you'll find, far outweigh the negatives!

"Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything He does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor—since they’re already “one” in marriage." (Ephesians 5:25-28 MSG)
